84 birds flock together on the painted ceiling commissioned for the conservatory lounge of the Kurhaus Hotel on the sea at Scheveningen (The Hague), Holland.

The artist thought of ships sailing to mysterious islands on the seas and oceans of the world with their variegated birds flying or swimming or some species landed and even beached at so many unknown destinations. Each bird is labelled with its Latin name.
